There are many poems out there. That means many people are analyzing them every day. These are some poems that I've chosen to analyze. Due to copyright issues the links to the actual poems will be shown instead of the poem. I ,though, do have the right to analyze them. So here it goes....
Friendship Poetry
Friends - Jean Kyler McManus
The poem "Friends" by Jean Kyler McManus is about what a friend should be. She uses the repetition of "A friend is someone..." on lines one, three, and five. On line 5 there is alliteration with the words "friends" and "fills". There is also alliteration on line 7 with the words "world" and "we".
Friendship Poem # 11- Jenny Yu
The Poem "Friendship Poem # 11" by Jenny Yu is about the narrator describing reminds her of. She tells the friend all the good things the her friend reminds her of. In this poem the poet uses the repetition of "You remind me of...". She probably does this to emphasize that the poem is about what her friend reminds her of.
The poet also uses the repetition of "Someone people can...". She maybe does this to emphasize what other people feel when they have what the friend reminds her of. For example when she says her friend reminds her of a teddy she says "Someone people can feel comfortable with, special to all". The poet also uses metaphors when saying on lines one and two "You remind me of a flower, pretty, inside and out." She does metaphors on lines five, six, nine, ten, thirteen and fourteen too.
